Use the open invitation
Please note: The information below only applies to multi-rater assessments such as the EQ 360, ELP, and DLP.
The open invitation allows you to generate an assessment link that can be distributed to multiple participants. It is the best choice if you do not know the participants’ email addresses, or if you do not want to send personalized invitations.
To begin the open invitation process
- Click Invite in the left menu.
The Inviting Participants page appears.
- Click Open Invitation.
The Settings page appears.
- Select the language you want to generate the assessment in.
- Enter a name for your invitation into the Invitation Name text box.
- Organize your invitations into a folder. You can do this by either:
- Selecting an existing folder from the drop-down menu, or
- Creating a new folder by typing its name in the Folder Name text box and then clicking Save New Folder.
- To track assessment completion, enter Notification settings.
- To set the invitation link to expire, enter Link Expiry settings.
- Click Next to proceed to the Open Items page.
To add questions to the rater form
- On the Open Items page, click Add Item beside the available items you wish to add.
Clicking an item adds it to the Selected Items list.
- To add a custom item, type it in the text box, then click Add Custom Item.
- When you are finished (making sure that you have added no more than five questions in total), click Next to proceed to the Review page.
To generate the open invitation link
- On the Review page, confirm that all settings for the open Invitation are accurate. If there are any problems, click the Previous button to make changes.
- If everything is okay, click Generate Link to proceed to the Your link page.
To distribute the open invitation link
After you have generated an open invitation link, the link is displayed at the top of the Your Link page. Accessing this link allows the participants to complete the assessment online.
There are a number of ways to distribute this link:
- You can copy the link and paste it into an email sent to the participants taking the assessment.
- If you want to include instructions with the link, copy and paste the recommended text at the bottom of the page into an email and send it to the participants. This text contains a clickable link which allows the participants to complete the assessment online.
- If you do not know the email addresses of the participants, the link can be posted online at a site that participants have access to.
- Alternatively, the link can be printed out and manually distributed to participants.
- Click Manage in the left column.
- Locate the open invitation link on the Open Invitations page.
- Click the invitation name.
The Open Invitation Details page appears.
- Edit the invitation name, contact name, and contact email by entering data in the appropriate text box.
- Move the link to another folder by selecting a different folder from the drop-down menu.
- Delete the invitation link by clicking Delete Link. If you do this, the link will not only be removed from the page, but the link itself will be invalid if clicked on by any participants.
- If you make any changes, click Save Changes to return to the Open Invitations Page.
