Create an open invitation

How to create an open invitation

The open invitation allows you to generate an assessment link that can be distributed to multiple participants. It is the best choice if you do not know the participants’ email addresses, or if you do not want to send personalized invitations.

To create an open invitation

  1. Click Invite in the left menu.

    The Inviting Participants page appears.

  2. Click Open Invitation.

    The Settings page appears.

  3. Select the language you want to generate the assessment in.
  4. Enter a name for your invitation.
  5. Organize your invitations into a folder. You can do this by either
    • selecting an existing folder from the drop-down menu, or
    • creating a new folder by typing its name in the Folder Name text box and then clicking Save New Folder.
  6. To track assessment completion, enter Notification settings.
  7. To set the invitation link to expire, enter Link Expiry settings.
  8. Click Next to proceed to the Review page.
  9. If everything is okay, click Generate Link to proceed to the Your Link page.
  10. The link is displayed at the top of the page. Accessing this link allows the participants to complete the assessment online.

Using the suggested text

At the bottom of the Your Link page is a block of suggested text that you can send to participants. While the use of the text is optional, it can be useful as it includes instructions and a description of the selected assessment.

Note that if you decide to use this text, the link to complete the assessment is already included in the instructions. You do not need to add the link yourself.

Unlike the personal invitation, the open invitation does not automatically send emails with the assessment link to participants. This is because you do not enter specific participants and email addresses during the open invitation process.

To send the link to participants, follow the advice provided on the How to distribute the open invitation help page.
